Introduction to Data Governance is a short, practical learning module designed to familiarise Commonwealth Secretariat staff with the key principles, frameworks, and practices of data governance. Drawing on the Secretariat’s Data Governance Framework and the internationally recognised DAMA-DMBOK model, this self-paced course introduces foundational concepts such as metadata, roles and responsibilities, governance scope, data quality, and data protection.
